Welcome to our peaceful cabin in the woods. It is located on the Au Sable River, with vacant state land
only across the river. Open year-round, you will find it has everything to offer, just bring your clothes
and food. We even supply some of that, like coffee, tea, condiments, and a few things in the pantry.
We offer most modern conveniences ( no dishwasher). We provide board games, cards, checkers,
puzzles and children's books. There is a charcoal grill right outside the screened-in back porch. Relax
there and have your supper, read a book or stretch out and watch for deer, wild turkey, or the occasional
eagle!
Our cabin is easily accessible, located on a private, dead-end road that is maintained year-round.

Nearby attractions include famous Mackinac Island (85 miles north), Hartwick Pines State Park(15
minutes), Hanson Hills Ski Resort/Park (10 minutes), Lake Margrethe, Higgins & Houghton Lakes, Gaylord
(golf), Traverse City, Petoskey, Tanger Outlet Center (45 minutes south) and many others. Snowmobiling
on the many trails that meet in Grayling, & close to the Bear Lake Trailhead. Brochures are at the cabin, if
needed, for many nearby sites.
Activities (on site or near-by): Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Hunting, Wildlife Viewing, Golf, Canoeing, Kayaking,
Snowshoeing, Cross-country Skiing, Tubing, Festivals, Shopping, Restaurants, Casinos (1 Hour drive),

Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our cabin while curled up in our porch swing or front porch rocking
chairs. Listen and watch for the many birds, including hawks and occasionally a bald eagle. We supply
the bird seed to keep the feeders filled. Take one of the two kayaks provided (Spring through Fall) down
the path, through the woods, and slip into the peaceful Au Sable River for a gentle paddle. You very well
might see an otter. Five minutes upstream from the dock will be your last sight of a cabin. (You'll only
pass three!) You will be paddling through pristine wilderness. Once in awhile you might see a fly
fisherman walking through the water. Paddle downstream from the dock and you will pass some beautiful
cabins. If you really want to put in a few hours in the water you can paddle right into downtown Grayling! |

Holidays - $550.00 for 3 Nights (New Years, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day)
